Wollastonite can replace silica sand in the production of glass fiber , it can lower the furnace temperature , reduce the emission of waste gas and enhance the glass fusing rate and the hardness of GRD. The production is more stable for solving the fusing problem of silica sand , thus the furnace fusing rate have been improved as well.

CaO is a major ingredient and the outside oxide of the glass structure. It can accelerate the hardening of fiber formation and enhance the quality of glass fiber as a stabilizer and fluxing agent. SiO2 is an important ingredient,glass former and consist almost all the glass basis. SiO2 will become glass when heating to liquid then cooling
